To be blind means not to see.
But how many of us with perfectly good eyesight,  truly see what is right in front of us?

We take so many things for granted, and we don't even take the time to appreciate all that is right under our very nose.

What if you wore a blindfold for 24 hours?
How do you imagine you would respond, when you first removed the blindfold?
And what if you wore the blindfold for a week?

And, what if you were told that you could only have 5 minutes a day to open your eyes. What would you choose to see in those 5 minutes?

Here we are only talking about our eyesight but, of course there is so much more that we take for granted.

Being Mindful is about truly appreciating and experiencing, all that is around and within you at each moment.
Once you are doing that, you are truly in the present and there is no need to be concerned with the past or the future.
Only the present matters.

Now, is all there is.

Today is a gift.
That's why they call it the present.

Mindfulness
Thich Nhat Hanh

Mindfulness is the energy of being aware and awake to the present moment.
It is the continuous practice of touching life deeply in every moment of daily life. To be mindful is to be truly alive, present and at one with those around you and with what you are doing. We bring our body into harmony while we wash the dishes, drive the car or take our morning shower.
