There is a Chinese saying, "Good things come in pairs."

Think of Noah's Ark and all the animals going in two by two.

I believe when you notice certain unusual events or perhaps hear a rare name twice, that it has a significance.
Some people will say it's just a coincidence, however I tend to disagree.
I feel that if you notice something happening twice or are aware of something unusual doubling up, then it would be worth your while paying particular attention to the pair. I believe that this occurs in order to draw your attention to a particular word or event that will guide you in your thoughts.

In other words if you become aware of something that seems to be a coincidence, rather than just being amused by it, give it some serious thought.
Just start to make a note each time something happens out of the ordinary that involves a pair. I guarantee that quite soon you will start to notice connections.

Also sit down quietly somewhere and try and recall any significant coincidences in your life that you can remember. Such as bumping into an old friend when you were on holiday or on a business trip in another country. Now try and recall something to do with them or the meeting that either was significant at the time, or became significant later on.
Have you met someone recently who was at the same school as you?
Has your attention been drawn to that school in another way?

Think about somewhere you have visited that you discovered had a remarkable connection with you.  There are of course many hundreds and thousands of things that could pair up in some way. I am just asking you to think about the more unusual pairs.
If something grabs your attention in a particular way then I would suggest it has some importance and relevance to what is happening right now in your life.
The pairing of names, words, events or people may well be very helpful in guiding you. You may be anxious about something and the pair will draw your attention to an aspect that will help remove that anxiety or worry.

This is an extension of 'Joining the Dots' or looking for connections,
it is about awareness.  As soon as we become more aware of what is happening around us, we begin to get a better understanding of how our world works.  We start to trust that Nature is working beautifully. Think of how everything on this planet works perfectly when left alone.
Why should we be any different?
Why don't we also just allow nature to take its course?
Why don't we just follow our natural path?

What I am suggesting by asking you to observe coincidences or key events or pairing, is that many aspects of our life are taken care of naturally and that as soon as we start to observe this for ourselves, we start to absolutely have confidence and trust that everything will work out for the best.
We actually start to lose our desire to be controlling. We lose our frustration when things don't go according to our plan. We learn to let go and trust that there is an easier and more natural way for things to unfold.

"Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans."
John Lennon.

Letting go and listening to our own heart and having trust brings peace and tranquility into our life.
The more we understand that life isn't quite as it may seem,  that there are many  unsolved mysteries and far more aspects to life than we currently are aware of, the happier and more at peace we will be.
There is never any need to struggle or force anything. All we need do is focus on our thoughts and beliefs and gently follow the path of least resistance.
As water flows down a mountain and always finds the easiest route, so take the same example.

I am asking you to be aware and awake to all that is going on around you.
The more aware and awake you are, the more observant you will be and the more you will start to notice that there are far too many coincidences going on for them to be purely coincidental.
A coincidence is a sign. A sign that is gently bringing an aspect of your life into focus in order to make your life easier. It is there to help and guide you,  if you choose to take notice.

Some of us may be stubborn and refuse to take the advice or help of others. We may choose not to listen when someone who cares about us is offering up their kind wisdom. Surely that is our loss !

Please open up your heart and listen to the Universe.
We are being helped daily if we can only see the signs.
The more we see and hear the easier our life will become, and the more at peace we will be.

Have an open heart and be open to all possibilities and open to a greater understanding of how Nature operates.
Don't be arrogant and think that the laws of Nature apply to all else other than us. Why should we be separate from the world?
The same laws apply to all living creatures.
Follow your gut instinct or listen to your heart, it is the same thing.
Be as natural as you can be. Observe all of Nature.
Connect with Nature.

You are Nature.

To Pair
is to
Repair

Mindfulness
Thich Nhat Hanh

Mindfulness is the energy of being aware and awake to the present moment.
It is the continuous practice of touching life deeply in every moment of daily life. To be mindful is to be truly alive, present and at one with those around you and with what you are doing. We bring our body into harmony while we wash the dishes, drive the car or take our morning shower.
